Disable right click on images?

I was wondering if Etsy had a "disable right click" feature for your listing images.

The idea being to make it more difficult for random people to right-click and downloading high quality listing images in order to vector trace them in a program like illustrator. This will help protect the hard work of "some" of these graphic designers who actually put the work in the design and produce custom vector assets.

This mainly applies to people selling digital vector assets but could possibly apply to other products as well.

If this is not a feature then why has it not been implemented.

Disappointing...other much smaller services implement this feature by default, their is no reason they cannot do this.

They can do it but it would take programming time and they aren't willing to dedicate that to anything besides testing.  Since the issue doesn't directly affect Etsy, there is no reason why they should do it.

@ApexDesignForge: Disabled right click is false security - all one has to do is disable javascript in the browser to restore right click functions.

Yep. It's not difficult at all. There are also extensions for browsers redily available on many browsers one can install to make it even easier. Oh and also the basic screenshot. 

A basic google search for how to do it tells one exactly how to do it multiple ways. Disabling rightclick save won't stop them.

Heck, how long has it been since the preview function was messed up when setting up a listing. If you have variations, you can't even preview it to determine if you have the right photo linked to the correction variation. It's as if they think if you ignore a problem long enough it will just correct itself.  WRONG So do we really think Etsy would ever have a right click on images disabled? But in all fairness, the giant of online sales (Amazon) doesn't even have that feature.

Sadly Etsy would probably do this, then buyers wouldn't be able to do an easy image search to inspect the handmade listing, which really isn't handmade. Which would lead to even more upset buyers, who would abandon the marketplace all together.
