Digital item marked as physical due to a glitch

Hi!

I sell digital products, and I have a problem with an order, which was erroneously marked as "physical" due to a glitch on the Etsy platform last week. I manually sent the files to the customer and matked the order as complete, but, since it has no tracking, Etsy considers it as not delivered, and due to this inconvenience we risk losing the star seller badge. I contacted Etsy support and they let me know that this is an issue they are aware of but no solution has been found yet. Has this happened to any of you? Have you found a solution? Do you think it would change anything if I'd talk to my customer and cancel the order?

I would not inconvenience the buyer by canceling the order. The star seller badge does not affect search; it is just a few purple pixels that can disappear for many reasons beyond our control. It is not worth rejecting the income from a sale.
