Digital Orders are automatically marked "Completed"

This just started happening to me this week with new digital orders. I get the notifications on my phone that I have a new order and when I log onto my laptop the same day it's already gone to the completed orders section when I haven't uploaded any files. The order is marked as completed and won't allow me to upload any files to that order of course, so I have to end up emailing the files for now.

This really is a problem because there could be orders that get missed as they are being moved over.

Please someone let me know if this is happening to you and how I can get support from Etsy, thanks!

Re: Digital Orders are automatically marked "Completed"

This would make sense for standard downloads but is this also happening for 'made to order' digital downloads?

Re: Digital Orders are automatically marked "Completed"

I have one 'made to order' digital listing for a logo which I get a lot of orders from and          I have never had this happen. I always upload the files when they are ready for the customer and now the day the customer places the order it just gets "completed" and is marked like i delivered the files already.

Re: Digital Orders are automatically marked "Completed"

of the 10 digital listings in your shop, they all say instant download.

If it's the custom logo, that too says instant download.

try editing the listing.

Re: Digital Orders are automatically marked "Completed"

The rest of the digital items are instant but the logo is not instant download. Those are custom/made to order so I always have upload when the files are ready. I've done a ton of those orders. I just went back and checked the listing and it says made to order.

Re: Digital Orders are automatically marked "Completed"

When I looked originally, it definitely said Instant Download.

Editing it must have fixed whatever glitch was there, as it does now say Made to Order digital.

There's a known glitch with physical listings, where they lose the "when it was made", which on a physical listing isn't a problem, but on a digital listing, clearly it's screwing it up and defaulting to an Instant download when it glitches.

Re: Digital Orders are automatically marked "Completed"

Gotcha. When I went into it to check, it had "made to order" selected. I clicked off of it and back on it just in case and yeah I guess that did it, an order I got tonight hasn't gone into completed. Guess it was a glitch then. Thanks for your help!

Re: Digital Orders are automatically marked "Completed"

I actually had this happen to two of my orders- both were set for personalization options so I'm not sure how they'd be set to instant download. I checked and it showed as "made to order." Both were auto completed and now won't let me upload the results. I am using email to deliver but it is very annoying that I can't upload the finished files.

Re: Digital Orders are automatically marked "Completed"

Has anybody found a real solution for this? It's been happening for six months now to 90% of my listings. Customer Service responds every time: "It sounds like you’re experiencing an issue that our engineering team is looking into." We do have a dedicated team that can take an in-depth look at this and get back to you via email. No solution yet, this is very frustrating.
