“Dashboard” Views & Visits vs. “Stats” page Views & Visits

I’ve had an Etsy shop since 2009 and recently decided to open a second shop. I understand the difference between Views & Visits, but I’ve always wondered why the Views on my Dashboard page never correlate with the Views on my Stats page. Since I have a new shop with only 2 listings so far, I thought it’d be interesting to post my figures for the 4 days that my shop has been open. Also, I believe I’ve waited long enough for Etsy to have cleaned out any bot visits/views.

Dashboard page: Total Views: 29; Visits: 22
Stats page: Visits: 22; “Shoppers viewed your listings 2 times”

So the Visits line up identically at 22. But the Views are completely different, by a huge margin. I’m hoping someone can explain this variation. I’ve always noticed this difference in my old shop as well, and I’m fairly certain that the “Shoppers viewed your listings” stat is the more accurate. I’d love to learn more about this and will appreciate any insights.

They can view your shop without viewing a listing

Can you expand on this?  How can you view a shop without first viewing a listing to get into the shop?  The only way I've ever viewed shops directly is if I know the exact name of the shop, which is very unlikely for a new shop.  Perhaps there is a way to view shops directly that I'm unaware of.
