Looks like my black photo directing buyers elsewhere has been replaced with this:
Please see last black photo. This is MUCH BETTER!!
It's a great improvement over showing other shops items in our shop photo's. At least it shows our items. I Like it
It definitely is an improvement and the display looks nice, almost like a business card. I like it too!
Yes!!! I hope this test sticks!!!
It’s much better than the one that takes buyers away from your store!
What a concept! Help the seller that got the buyer into Etsy make some sales!!
I had to open an incognito browser quite a few times until I finally saw this test. Looks good in my shop. https://i.etsystatic.com/icm/95f717/586112646/icm_fullxfull.586112646_gy7fbuzj2r4sc4c0ccso.png?versi...
Looks gorgeous!!
Glad you finally were able to see it.
Well now they've seen that sellers have shown positive interest in using the last photo to redirect buyers lol
Definitely!
And I don't understand why Etsy is making it so difficult to see...sometimes it shows and sometimes not even for the same seller as evidenced by @EightMileVintage who spent time looking for it.
This is certainly an enhancement that the sellers can get excited about!!!
Oh I love !
Awww shoot; I'm not seeing it anymore. Well, at any rate, I hope this is made permanent in shops once this test is done.
Sorry to hear that. The implementation seems to be very fickle. It would be nice for every seller to see this enhancement/test, even if only temporarily.
Just got it... such a great idea for sellers at last, somebody working there has some common sense, thank you.
Finally, an enhancement we seller can all embrace!!
Oh I love this! I have it too!
Hey, I quite like that idea! Good job Etsy.
check all of my pages and instead of a customer photo, it has a collage of related items with a link back to my site. Nicely done.
It looks great!!
This is one test I hope sticks around.
I don't see it anywhere, not chrome, edge, signed in, incognito. Thanks to those who have posted example photos.
@Adorabilities I just see it on Firefox on my pc, not on my phone.
(I like your QR code. )
I don't see it, it must be an test. I only saw the black box once. I don't see it using an incognito window either.
Unfortunately, this enhancement is very sporadic. One time you might see it and another time you might not.
Sometimes I think Etsy may think all we sellers ever want to do is complain. Yet here we are, all saying Bravo Etsy!
So far, I can only see this on my laptop, incognito.
It's a great feature and I really hope they keep it.
I saw it on another shop's listing this morning and thought it was something that shop had created - just read this post and saw it on OP's listing, checked one of mine and I see it there too.
I love it, it looks very nice and it's a great redirect back into the shop. I never know how many buyers really understand the whole "lots of little individual shops" concept with Etsy, they may just think it's like Target where they are buying "from Target". Either way, I am very happy to see this.
I agree that it's a big improvement on the first iteration of this test. That said, I wonder if this is in any way a response to the recent case brought against eBay for moving from a marketplace that connects buyers and sellers to a retailer? Maybe Etsy is trying to backtrack some of its actions to imbed itself in our businesses in order to avoid potential charges of acting as a retailer?
The DOJ used these arguments (among others) to bolster its claim:
"- eBay will help the merchant create the content for its product listings based on eBay's data concerning the contents, details, and strategies that drive interest from buyers.
- Under the User Agreement, eBay can edit any product listing to supplement, remove, or correct information contained in that listing."
The black box, whether it promotes other seller's content or our own, is indeed an edit to our listings. Of course, its obviously much better if it is used to promote our other listings!

And here's a link to @DivineCrossings thread from a few weeks ago:
I did see the thread by @DivineCrossings a few days back. You both may be on to something, but honestly it's all above my paygrade and I wouldn't be surprised if this is Etsy's intention. For now, I'll be happy with an enhancement similar to this (if they have to do anything) and see how it goes.
