My descriptions have been moved to a new place that is almost impossible to find. As a result, I've had the worst month since I've been on Etsy for over 10 years. How do we get them to move them back?
@WearableArtEmporium: "Is anyone else having this problem?" A quick search will show you lots and lots of recent threads about this. "How do we get them to move them back?" Excellent question with no real answer other than to express one's displeasure directly to Etsy.
I just got off of chat and got nothing but cookie cutter answers about how Etsy believes this change is really going to enhance customer experience. Yeah, like BYE - BYE.
I thought I was taken out of the test but I see I'm back in the test & see descriptions on the bottom. @etsy PLEASE stop this horrible test!! I go to a lot of trouble trying to describe my items in detail with measurements and any flaws or damage. It's important for all of my customers to know everything about the item I am selling in order to not have returns or refunds for "not as described" because it doesn't look like there is any description whatsoever, some customers, especially new to Etsy might not scroll down to look for the hidden description. This is NOT transparency in selling and it's not helpful for buyers or sellers!!
I'm having the same issue. Why would they move the descriptions? Buyers didn't read the descriptions when they were easy to access. If they have to hunt for them, they won't for sure!

Yes, they keep moving them around! When I was shopping I thought people just didn't have descriptions so I went to another shop! I then discovered they moved in my shop too!
Now I understand why my sales have dropped from $400 to 500 a week to less than $200. I have also gotten complaints from buyers about the size of my items. That information in in the s=description that the6y cannot find or see. WTH??? Etsy
This my answer to Etsy's poor choice. I am in the process of creating an image of ALL of my shop item descriptions, so I can place the description in my photos. I cannot take this kind of hit to my sales. They appear to be easily readable on a phone.
This is a terrible idea! I was searching for something to buy today and thought I was looking at a lot of bad sellers! None of them had a description or gave any indication of size....so I just kept looking. After about the 6th one like that, I looked at the BOTTOM of the page and there was the information I needed....below all the useless feedback comments! Bad move Etsy, really bad move!
