Deprecating V2 API's to V3

Has anyone heard of the date that Etsy plans on deprecating their V2 API's to V3?
I've seen multiple dates and today I saw something where it's planned to deprecated V2 API's by Q3 or Q4 in 2022.

The API is a way to programmatically access Etsy features through a program rather than via Etsy app or browser. @SkuVaultInc  developer.etsy.com still just has the vague transition date.

V2 and V3 references the version number. 
API = API is the acronym for Application Programming Interface, which is a software intermediary that allows two applications to talk to each other. Each time you use an app like Facebook, send an instant message, or check the weather on your phone, you're using an API.

please note - I know nothing about programming, I looked everything up.

Those dates are most likely correct unless they run into problems with the transition.
