Deposits to UK Bank account stopped after 14 July

Hi everyone,

I’m a UK-based seller and have been on Etsy since 2016. My deposits have gone to a Barclays account that was set up and verified over six years ago, with no issues until recently.

The last successful deposit I received was on 14 July 2025. Since then, payouts marked as "sent" on:

• 16 July

• 18 July

• 21 July

• 23 July

however none have appeared in my bank account.

I’ve been in contact with both my bank and Etsy support:

• The bank couldn’t find any record of incoming payments from Etsy or any of the associated payment providers (Adyen, Stichting Custodian, JP Morgan Chase, etc.).

• Etsy support advised that deposits can take some time and that further investigation may be possible after a waiting period of up to 90 days.

On 23 July, I tried switching to a different bank account, but the verification deposit did not arrive. I switched back to the original Barclays account and again didn’t receive the verification deposit, though I was able to complete verification using a bank statement.

Given the circumstances, I’m trying to understand whether others have experienced similar deposit delays, especially in the UK, and whether the funds eventually arrived or if any workaround helped.

Any insight or shared experiences would be greatly appreciated.

I am sure that trying to switch to another bank has muddied the waters.  By doing this, I am doubtful those earlier deposits will arrive in the new bank account so it would have been best to sort things out while the original bank account was linked. 

Etsy support does have limited knowledge and someone should have been fixing this, not asking you to wait 90 days!

All you can do is write an email to Etsy explaining what has happened.  Are you sure you haven't been hacked and your money has not been diverted to someone else's account?
