Deleted images still accessible via URL

Dear All,

I deleted an inappropriate listing image using the Shop Manager online. On the first hand side this was successful and showed the wanted result. The image is not shown within my article listing anymore (both for customers using etsy.com and for me validating via the Shop Manager).

But on the other hand side the image remains on the Etsy-Server(s). Who ever knows the original image URL ([REMOVED]) can still access the inappropriate image in the internet. 

Does someone know the best solution how to request to delete the image permanently. 

In the meantime I even deleted the article (the listing) but still all images which have been ever used within the article can still be accessed - although the Etsy handbook says that deleted articles or images cannot be recovered.

Interesting, since Etsy doesn't usually like wasting space on things that have been removed. 

Did anyone buy the listing when it still had that image?

yes, I guess the article was sold during the unwanted image was active. But I also tried with a dummy image. This was only online for view minutes while the article was definitely not sold. But also this image is still accessible on this "etsystatic" URL

They may clear deleted images on a schedule, which might not be every day, or they may never delete them. What are the odds anyone would know that url anyway? I doubt there are many people trying random urls just to see if they exist. If it isn't on any webpage, Google will drop it from their listings the next time they index the page it was on.

In general I would agree we you. But in my case the url is known by a law enforcement company. This forces me to delete the images to avoid further dispute. In the meantime I am desperate. Etsy support keeps sending standard replies and instructions which doesn't help me. I need the images to be deleted. Therefore any further hint or recommendation is welcome.

I agree, if you contact etsy legal with a court order, they will listen. It is possible the image is deleted but your computer shows it due to cache or cookie or whatever?

No, the image is unfortunately still accessible. I have tried with different devices and internet connections. The link is still active.
