Hello everyone!
This is already a cry from the heart. Are there any real people on Etsy’s Trust & Safety team???
Etsy keeps deactivating my listings for no reason.
Everything in my shop is 100%handmade by me, in my own home. I record the process of making the items on my phone. I run my shop myself. I am buying all materials, I am studying all the time to be a better master…. and what I got from Etsy…?
Now Etsy has sent a letter saying that this isn’t my first violation and is threatening to suspend my shop - “Unfortunately, since your shop has multiple policy violations, you can’t earn Star Seller badges anymore. Keep in mind, if your shop violates Etsy's Creativity Standards again, your account will be suspended and you’ll no longer be able to sell on Etsy.”
What kind of support is this from Etsy? As a Florida resident, after having gone through two hurricanes, Etsy is threatening to close my shop for a reason I can’t understand, and I can’t get through to them to prove that I make everything myself.
I sent an email with photos of the production process, but received an automated response saying I should review the rules again.
I’ve been on Etsy since 2014 and have never had any issues with my listings and Etsy support before.
Etsy, please, help me with this technical issue !!!
You have an awesome shop.
Our main business is local dressmaking and tailoring (our Etsy shop is a minor part of our business), so I called Clare over and we have been looking at details in your photos, admiring your work, and discussing your construction methods. Your work is fabulous.
Many "policy violations" currently are because Etsy find the same, or similar, photos on other websites, especially AliExpress, Temu, Shein, Amazon, etc. Etsy uses this as proof that the seller on Etsy is a reseller, even when the seller on Etsy has had their image stolen and used without permission by sellers on other sites. For Etsy sellers to remove policy violations it is often necessary for the Etsy seller to issue copyright notices to the websites using stolen photos, and then provide copies of the copyright notices to Etsy.
You don't have a link to a shop in your About section (it is allowed). You need to have a separate online shop as well as Etsy, do not rely only on Etsy.

Hello,
The ETA for response varies on a case-by-case basis, and a separate team is handling the ticket you recently filed. Any further communication will occur directly with you, via email, on your open ticket.
As support requests are handled privately, we're now closing this thread with our best wishes to you at this time.
You need to speak to Etsy support in person. Someone in the US will be able to give you better information on the availability of this, in the UK we can access 'chat' or request a call back. Good luck with it, your clothing is superb!
Sorry, I cannot offer much help. Just wanted to say what beautiful work you do.

What a fabulous shop! I just followed you on Instagram. I've had one of my handmade items removed too, and it was reinstated in a day. All you can do is try to reach support -
https://help.etsy.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?segment=selling
These removals are done by a bot program, and hopefully, once reviewed by a real person, will be restored soon. This is such a shame that this has been happening to legit handmade Sellers.
@ModAngie what are Sellers to do in these cases? Especially about the threats of closure and Star Seller removal?
There is a reason and it is probably because your creations are being found elsewhere online. You will need to prove to Etsy that these are your creations and issue takedowns on the sites where your work is found.
There are many shops experiencing the same thing so look around the forum to see how others are dealing with it.
