Customers are having trouble checking out.

In the past few months I have had dozens of customers letting me know that "a stitch has gone awry." when they are checking out. This issue has been going on for the latter half of this year and I get messages from customers every day about this. Anyone else having this issue? I have reached out to Etsy and they said nothing is wrong. The only thing I can do is direct them to my website.

It sounds like it could be their device.  Are they using the app?  Is it the most current app?  Are they using a browser?  A browser supported by Etsy?  Are they using a VPN?  

I have read occasional issues being had but doesn't seem to happen enough to warrant concern by Etsy.

I don't know and Etsy does not seem to know exactly what it is. I am getting messages everyday about it. I got three today. About five last week. I have dozens of screenshots from different customers. I have had 6 customers with this issue in one day.

What was an occasional issue a few months ago has been reported almost daily lately.  Also keep in mind that buyers cannot post on the forums to report this problem.  How many will contact Support or get the runaround when they do?   How many will just leave Etsy and go find a site that doesn't prevent them from purchasing?

This was happening to me in my other account. Day after day, I was unable to access my cart to check out. A stitch would go awry after the cart tried to load and load... I ended up not making the purchase, as I had an Etsy coupon that I wanted to use, and it was only valid for that account. I could add items to my cart, but I could not look at the cart or check out.

When this was happening, the righthand side of the page was blank and looked like it was loading. I'm assuming this is happening to those who are in a test where the cart contents pop up on the right hand side of the page. It looked like information was trying to load there and just never could.

It's not a device or browser issue. I have no trouble at all accessing my cart with this account, and I'm using the same browser and device that I used for the other (broken) account's cart.

There have been several posts over the past weeks about this issue, with multiple sellers/buyers having this problem. (All of those are in the pop-up cart test, I'd imagine.) So it's surprising that Etsy claims not to know about the issue.

This was also reported to me by some of my customers a few months ago. Same stitch has gone awry message. There have been forum posts about it and I hope Etsy will look into it and fix it.

It has happened to me in the last few days. Reported it to Etsy and they are more concerned with making me prove that it is my account than they are fixing the problem. After two days of back and forth answering their stupid questions to prove it is my account they just stopped any communication with me. I feel sorry for the seller as I can't place a rather large order for 14 items @$300.00+. What a pain! If this is Etsy's lack of concern for a problem that has clearly existed for a while it makes me question if I want to continue buying and selling on their platform.

Everytime i have had a super serious concern, they tell me their"team" will review and write a detailed report to my email. They always email me a copy and paste from their seller's handbook, faq answers, etc blah blah....it is very unfortunate and i cannot imagine how many sales my family has lost because of the endless stack of problems on Etsy's end..

I deleted all the items that were in my basket and used buy it now to get the one set of items I really needed. I can now access my basket, but don't know if I can check out from there. I still have heard nothing from support. The seller lost a lot of money as I'm not going to go through their 5000+ items again, to select what I might like. I just purchased what I knew I needed and left it at that.
