Customers are able to go above the character limit in personalization field. What gives? Yes I have it set up correctly and it used to work, but now people are able to add more than the 8 characters max that I set up. I tried it myself.

I tried typing 9 characters and received this message:

You’ve reached the limit! Use 8 characters or less.

When I typed in the box, over the limit, just like nineteen27, it gave me the same error.

Thank you for trying, everyone. However, does it let you go ahead and put it in the cart? Because I am able to put it in the cart, and my customer was able to actually pay for the order with the long personalization.

are you sure they did not just add it to the notes to the seller?

It was in the actual personalization field, not in a note to seller.

I tried. It does say "You’ve reached the limit! Use 8 characters or less." But it does get added to cart with the added customization, and it shows in the cart above the 8.

So at least one of you could actually add it to the cart. This is terrible and does not bode well for the holiday season coming up...

It LOOKS like an error message that doesn't let you go forward, but you CAN go forward and put it into the cart....which is what my customer did...

i still cannot get it into  my cart it will not let me no matter how many times i try and force it!
