Hi all. I just made my first sale and sent a friendly message to the customer to thank them, but they mentioned that the automated confirmation was pretty much unreadable because all the text was overlapping. It was from a cell phone and she provided me with a screenshot. Has anyone else experienced this, and is there anything that I can do from my end? Thanks in advance.
Not sure if it was the app. But OK, good to know. Thanks for that!
If it was in the app, sometimes the app is buggy. Have them try viewing it on the cell phone browser.

It more likely that their device screen has been set up to zoom or increase font size. I'm not sure if you can do that on a phone, but my Dad has it on his PC email inbox and I often see the text overlapping because there's not enough space between the lines (this is called 'leading').
Do you have an automatic thank you message set up that customer receives when they place an order? That is usually sufficient.
I do, however I thought I'd send a more personal note to my very first customer
That sounds like a glitch on the customer's end.
Just an friendly tip because you're new. If you send the thank you through Etsy messages and the customer is also a seller, they're required to respond to your thank you or mark it as spam as part of the star seller program. Many sellers get caught up by this and lose star seller because they think it's okay to ignore a message from another seller. I understand you're doing it as a nice gesture, but some sellers don't care for it.
Thanks for the tip. Doesn't appear to be another seller. I ended up giving them a screenshot of the order from my dashboard. Hoping for a great review to help my store!
