Customer's e-mails coming to me

I made my first sale last week (yay!) but now I've been receiving updates on everything the client ordered from my shop as well as other shops, what she paid and tracking numbers, etc. as if I were the customer. I even received an e-mail asking me to write a review about the various items. Not sure why this is happening!

I  would like to try to help but am a bit confused. Yiu say "first sale", but your Shop has been opened since 2020 and you have 7 Sales. Also, only 4 Sales are showing in your "Sold" Orders.

Are you talking about another Shop? Did you have another account and purchase something from this Shop from that account?

Depending on Account Settings, you will receive a copy of the Order Confirmation and Shipping Notification.That is not unusual. But a Rewiew Reminder seems strange.

Thank you for helping me trouble shoot a bit. I have 2 accounts with Etsy and both are receiving emails that should be going to the customer. I finally figured out how to get through to Etsy and I'm sure they'll get back to me and help me sort it out. I'm not sure what's happening with the "sold" orders only showing 4. Another mystery! Thanks again!

Remember when sellers were logging into other sellers’ shops? A stitch may have gone awry.

That's odd. I think you'll have to contact Etsy support. Don't delete the erroneous emails until this is sorted out - you may need to forward them to Etsy. There have been times in the past where 2 accounts have become mixed up - it's very rare but not impossible.

Thank you for the advice! I did delete the first few because it made me very uncomfortable seeing this customer's personal order. But happily I could retrieve them and now I'm waiting to hear back from Etsy about why this is happening.
