I have been penalised for sending an item to the US with no tracking. I haven't lost the star seller badge but nevertheless it seems unfair. The item was £10 and the buyer had 10% off making it £9. The shipping was £4. In the star seller guidance it states:
'We use the total value of the items purchased before any discounts, not including postage and taxes.'
Not including postage and taxes - or is my mind playing tricks on me ?
The under £10 is still fine for the UK - I use it for my e-mailed tea cosies
when I've e-mailed, I mark it as completed, with
other, and emailed in the shipper, and nothing in the tracking
It was £10
We use the total value of the items purchased before any discounts, not including postage and taxes.
So it’s still £10 without the postage cost being included?
Even £9 means $12 so it's over the $10 limit. You need to consider the USD value.
It's a £10 limit for UK, it's not in $
however, buying the label non-tracked on etsy counts
Add tracking info or a shipping label from Etsy on all orders (only required for Star Seller)
You say that but in the UK the limit is £10 not $10. So it doesn’t go with the exchange rate.
Anyway it’s still no more than what they are asking for.
Anyone notice that the Help page no longer mentions the under £10 exception for tracking? https://help.etsy.com/hc/en-us/articles/4403058372503-What-is-the-Star-Seller-Badge
Here's what the page used to look like: https://web.archive.org/web/20250202060147/https://help.etsy.com/hc/en-us/articles/4403058372503-How...
So the under £10 is no longer a thing.?
How can I find out about this from a human?
