Customer Review Glitches?

Customers have NOT left reviews in my shop since February. Etsy software glitch? I haven't had as many sales as some of you but out of my 166 sales, surely someone should leave a review. I will never make star seller at this rate. Contacting Etsy support keeps looping back to the help center. Any advice, suggestions, or encouragement?

I would contact some recent sellers and send a message asking if they were satisfied with the product and if you can offer any assistance (depending on what you're selling.)

ugh, don't do that,

Etsy already has loads of popups, to leave reviews,

and now they are e-mailing you with a review to them, if you don't leave a public one,

don't ask, it may wind them up, and you get what you hadn't bargained for.

When I purchase a digital item, I can pretty much leave a review within minutes. When selling physical items I believe customers have to wait until the estimated delivery time has been reached or passed to leave a review.

You have 21 reviews from 166 sales or around 13% of items bought have been reviewed. That actually feels high to me for a digital shop. 

It also suggests that 87% were happy but chose not to leave a review which can happen for all sorts of reasons.

It appears there is a bug affecting some sellers of digital downloads where, for certain items, customers are told they cannot leave a review until after the review window has closed.

You may be caught up in this. Unfortunately unless one of your customers contacts you about it, you have no way of knowing. Some people rarely or never leave reviews and it may just be that you have a series of customers like that.

As others have said, Etsy is now asking for secret reviews from customers, so asking any of them why they haven’t left a review could massively backfire if they happen to be the sort of customer who doesn’t review on principle.

Betreff: Customer Review Glitches?

Hi,

ich bekomme auch kaum Bewertungen, was aber daran liegt, dass viele Käufer aus Scham keine Rezession hinterlassen, was ich bei meinen Produkten durchaus verstehen kann. Aber ich erfreue mich an den Nachrichten, dass sie sehr zufrieden sind mit meinem Handwerk.

Ich denke wir alle sollten den Druck der Sterne nicht so ernst nehmen.

Sollten wir mal etsy mit Sternen bewerten dürfen, würde der Verein bestimmt sehr schlecht abschneiden....
