I have a customer who is unable to leave a review on her purchases. She has tried on the last three orders she has placed from my shop, and each time she gets an error message. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Wow sorry! I’m curious to see what’s said on this subject. I’m currently having issues not being able to respond to questions posted on my Etsy explore videos- they say it’s a glitch they are working on. Makes me wonder how many glitches may be going on….
If she bought as a guest she can't leave a review unless she sets up an Etsy account and then there is somehow to attach previous purchases and review. Not quite sure exactly how. And I'd not ask a buyer to do that..too much rigamarole.
She is a registered Etsy user and didn't purchase as a guest.
Has enough time passed?
If it is purchased as a guest then they cannot leave a review.
The review window opens on the expected date of delivery and stays open for 100 days.
She is getting an error message, and yes, it's been plenty of time!!
Look in your completed order beside their name. If it says guest, they can't do reviews.
I haven't been able to leave reviews for my last several purchases. Mine aren't physical items, but embroidery designs, so I get them immediately. I am a registered user, not a guest. I feel bad that I can't leave them reviews
It amazes me how buyers are normally constantly harassed to leave a review, i have had no reviews since the beginning of November and this is why, i buyer messaged me yesterday that they cant leave review because the window has not opened, she bought this item from me over a week ago and was a local sale!! Etsy please make you mind up!
I believe this has been happening to one of my shops as I sold several items and have not gotten one review in the last few months which is strange even for me. I had a chat with Etsy a few days ago about it. Was told it would be escalated. Ha Ha. I had a feeling because a couple of months ago I had to contact Etsy to leave a few reviews for purchases I made when the review windows never opened.
You could try chat but I honestly don’t have much hope as it took over 40 minutes out of my life with some info being exchanged between huge gaps of time with nothing going on. It was like the chat guy left in between to make a sandwich or something. All the while Etsy has been pestering me constantly to leave a particular review that I really don’t want to leave. So sad.
i wont bother then as sounds like a right hassle, wow Etsy is just awful when i comes to anything you want to ask them, and the customer service is there why exactly?? what a waste of the share holders money IMAO
I think that if the buyer contacted Etsy they may do something for them like they did for me. I can see in my stats that the items in question in my shop have been viewed every couple of days since delivered. I can’t be sure of course but I get the feeling it could be some of my customers trying to review. One of them did purchase a second item from me so I guess he was happy with the first item. Oh well…
This is one of my regular customers who has left reviews in the past and REALLY wants to leave reviews for her last three orders, but something is wrong and it won't let her! Too bad! I have others who are leaving reviews, but she can't. I wonder if it's an app issue or something?
This has been going on for several months. It wasn't an app issue for me when I was a buyer and could not leave reviews for a shop I had business with many times before and was also able to leave reviews in the past. I think that if your buyer would like to use chat and say the review window isn't open for such and such business etc. they will open it for her. Etsy takes care of buyers much more than sellers it seems. At least that is what happened with me.
