A custom order I created (and sent) defaulted to 'shipped' rather than digital.
Now it is 7 days overdue. But, it's never going to 'ship' because it was digital, and I already sent it.
I have no way to fix it.
I messaged once, but received a reply that it's a systemic error.
This has resulted in my losing Star Seller rating this month.
How can I fix this?

Did you try marking the order as shipped? (under the update progress tab)
Add a note to the buyer saying that you need to mark it shipped, to clear your orders, even though it was a digital item.

That did work, but only through the Etsy seller app on my phone. I figured it out a few days ago, and of course the customer received an email saying his order shipped, but actually received it electronically 7 days prior.
When attempting to mark the order shipped on desktop, I was prompted to add tracking data, and there was no way around it, because it was required.
