Creating sale

Trying to set up a sale in my shop. Anyone have any idea why I'm not able to select individual listings or even a section. Seems like I can only do a shop-wide sale

you can create a code for individual listings or all listings

to create a promo code:

1. On Etsy.com, go to your Shop Manager.
2. In the Marketing tab, select Sales and Discounts.
3. Choose Create a promo code.
4. Select the options you’d like for your discount. 
5. Choose which individual listings will be eligible for this promo code, or select Add all active listings.
6. Review the details for your promo code, and select Confirm and create code.

''Can I run listing-specific sales as well as shop-wide sales? 

If you don’t set a minimum order to qualify, you will be able to select specific listings to include in the sale. You can edit the sale later to include new listings if needed.

If you do set a minimum order to qualify, your sale will be shop-wide and you won’t be able to exclude items from it.''

Thanks!  Why won't they allow conditional sales on selected items?

They don't allow conditional sales on selected items, because the conditions of the sale already select the items that are on sale.

There is no reason to set a condition if it doesn't eliminate some items from the sale pool.

If you create a conditional sale or coupon (set a minimum of quantity or amount) then everything is automatically included.  The only way you can choose which items you want to include is by not setting a minimum, then on the 2nd page of set up you can choose items.
