Hello fellow Etsy Sellers, I have a question and it’s been a problem I’ve had for a long time and it’s about time I looked into it because maybe I’m missing something very obvious. Sometimes I want to create a promotion in my store, but I want to select certain items and reduce them at a certain rate and then launch that sale. After that is done, I might want to choose another discount rate and create another promotion. The problem I am having is when I go to select the items for other sales it does not exclude the items that are already marked down and I have to try and remember what I have marked down so I don’t select them again and sometimes this is quite a few items and I can’t keep track. on eBay, There is to click on which removes items from the next selection that have already been reduced from my previous promotion so I don’t have to worry about marking them down twice and basically losing my butt on them. It’s bad enough that I have to ship these things for 5.99 or they are not visible anymore. Imagine something that costs 50 or $60 they expect to be marked to 5.99 or it loses its visibility. Anyway, that’s another topic. I’m just venting.
I use an iPad to do my listing. I don’t know if that has anything to do with it
do any of you know a way to run a consecutive sale at a different rate and not have to select from all of the items only the items that have not been reduced previously? I hope you understand this question. It’s hard to explain.
anyway thanks for reading this and good luck with your selling and I hope to have some response here.
@Moiracat: What you want to do is not possible 'automatically'. A single listing can be included in multiple sales or promotions.
"... or they are not visible anymore" You could use calculated shipping to be exempt from shipping issue - but your shop is much more likely to be limited in search visibility because it is not complete (location, about, policies, etc).
