@botanicallampshades: Unfortunately there are lots and lots of threads in this forum about issues with the Etsy apps. Sometimes it helps to log out and log back in, or even to uninstall and reinstall the app. The consensus seems to be that a seller needs to manage their shop via a browser until these issues are resolved.
Tried all that. The weird thing is that it worked (to create listings) when it first came out. Was even faster uploading photos but now it doesn't work at all. I just wondered if it worked for anyone else.
The new app does not work for me at all. I have a new Samsung Ultra 23 phone and still can't load a single photo. Uninstalled, reinstalled, logged out, logged in. Nothing works. No help from Etsy for me either.
I have found a solution to this. I don't use the new Etsy app at all. On my phone I go to Etsy.com and sign in. There I can see, edit and add listings and photos. What a relief! You will keep seeing pop-ups to get and use the new seller app. Don't do it! At least not if you were having trouble adding photos and editing listings.
I have found nothing good about the new app. There are things that don't work, there are things that are missing and what is there doesn't have as much information, doesn't display that information as well and is harder to read than the old app.
