Hi there,
I am experiencing an issue while trying to confirm the information for our shop on Etsy. On the third page, I was asked to provide my personal identity number (Government-issued personal ID). When I clicked the link to go to the tax and legal information page, I entered my Unified Civil Number (just the number, as there was no option to upload an image).
After entering the number, I went back to the dashboard to continue confirming the information, but the "Continue" button on the third page was greyed out, and I couldn't proceed any further. It says to add the Government-issued personal ID. I contacted chat support, cleared my cache and history, and even tried accessing the page from another computer and phone, but nothing worked.
Can you please provide guidance on what I should do? I only have 5 days left to confirm the information.
Thank you for your assistance.
Best regards,
Martina

Same issue here.
They opened a case with the responsible team, but whenever that escalates it's not good news (at a least for me).
Waiting and wishing for the best.
I'm in the situation and have been having issues with confirming my info. It still shows the red item to upload gov ID. I've uploaded it and now have a blue box reading "Good news: We verified your taxpayer information!" but I still have the red banner saying I can't get funds and in 1 day my shop will be put on vacation mode. One screen says everything's confirmed but on the popup screen it still has gov ID in red with no other explanation. And the confirm & continue button is grayed out. I've exchanged emails with Etsy but they keep giving boilerplate instructions. This is all very stressful.
What helped me was carefully reading the missing info highlighted in red on the confirmation page. When I clicked on it, it took me to the tax information section in my shop. At first, I thought I had to enter only my ID number, but then I noticed down below the info (like the one in red on the 3 page of the “confirm your info” pop up menu on the dashboard) was asking for an image of my ID card. So I uploaded it and after I could go further to confirm the info and the pop up menu disappeared.
Make sure to read carefully and match the exact info requested. I hope this helps—let me know!
Latest email recd: "It looks like you are experiencing an issue that our engineering team is looking into." Ending with ... "At this time, we don’t have an estimated timeframe for whene this will be resolved.
I had that issue. I was using a drag and drop to load the picture. I solved it by picking the file from the computer when uploading the image.
Another email I have recd: "It looks like you are experiencing an issue that our engineering team is looking into." Ending with ... "At this time, we don’t have an estimated timeframe for when this will be resolved."
And then just now received the email telling me because I didn't confirm in the time allowed my shop is on vacation mode. Why can't it stay open since they know there's a tech issue!?
You have to find by yourself where the missing info is. Try filling all the info on the tax page.
I'm being suspended as they say I have not done the necessary steps. No banner is showing to update anything now. But I can't get to anyone in support to get this fixed. I'm not sure the emails I'm getting are Etsy or someone wanting me to click a link. Even logos are suspicious anymore, so I wish I could get to support.
Hey all - we ran into a similar issue earlier as well.
I'm leaving this comment here in case someone else runs into this in the future, and checks this thread.
If you've tried everything else (refreshing the browser, clearing your cache, filling out your info again, and contacting support) and are still blocked. There's a way to override the technical glitch on Etsy's side if you're using Google Chrome.
We detailed it out in a post on our store's blog. Hopefully this helps someone in the future - here's the link to the instructions: Link - Fix Etsy's grayed out Submit button
