Changing the Note to Buyer

Problem: The same note to buyer I applied to one customers order years ago was appearing on every single order packing slip I sent out. I followed the instructions to change it via Settings>Info&Appearance>Message to Buyers but that did not work. I also followed other users by clicking the shipping truck icon, and changing 'Note to Buyer', also changed nothing.

Solution: Go to any order, click the three hamburger menu dots under the shipping and message icon, click 'Print', It will then show Packing slips and Order Receipts, click 'Customise options' and you'll see 'Add a personalised note' where you can edit or remove this.

Re: Changing the Note to Buyer

Thank you for posting your solution - hopefully it will help others in the future.  To clarify, there are three different notes you can write to Buyers.

* The Message to Buyers in the Settings - Info & Appearance - Message to Buyers shows in the automated email Etsy sends with the transaction receipt as soon as someone purchases.  It also will show at the bottom of their order under the Buyers' Purchases (Purchases/reviews).

* The Note to Buyer that is linked to the Shipping page goes out with the automated email when you buy a label or mark and order as complete.

* The Note from the Shop is the message you can customize to show on your printed order receipt and/or the packing slip - not every Seller includes these with their packaging (I use the packing slip in the package, and the order receipt for my picking slip and keep for my records).

An example of what I use, just to show how they differ -

My Message to Buyer starts with "LOOK UP ^^^  -  is your shipping address correct?"  and thanks them for purchasing from my shop, and to contact me with any questions.

My shipping notice thanks them for their purchase, shipping is on the way and tracking will be provided - and to contact me with any questions or concerns.

My packing slip, again, thanks the Buyer for buying handmade, and to check back in the future for new items, I want them to be 100%satisfied - and, to contact me with any questions or concerns.
