Changes are not saved when I try to update the "Name of legal entity" under the Primary taxpayer ID section on the Legal and Tax Information page.

After clicking on the "Submit to Etsy" button it returns the old data and is not accepting my changes. My personal name is still there instead of my company name

I tried to update "Name of legal entity" in incognito mode, by clearing the cookies, by using 4 browsers - Edge, Chrome, Firefox, and Opera and there is no effect - the changes are not saved.

I need to change the "Name of legal entity" because my bank is returning the Etsy deposit because it states my name on "Full name on bank account", not my company name on the file.

I cannot update the bank details because on the bank details the field "Full name on bank account" is read-only and can be changed only from the "Legal and tax information" screen, where the changes are never saved.

The strange thing is that I passed the bank details verification process 3 times and after each time the deposits were transferred successfully for a week or so and then stopped with the error: "We couldn’t deposit your funds. Update your bank info"

After endless communication I realized that maybe the reason is the mentioned above - Changes are not saved when I try to update the "Name of legal entity"

I need this issue to be fixed as I haven't received my funds for almost a month already.

I'm assuming you already tried reaching out to Etsy regarding your issue?

I'm having the same issue with trying to update my phone number and just posted about it.  I know the phone number was there previously. Now it isn't there.  Now they want me to update the phone number or else they put my shop in Vacation Mode.  But I can't update the page because of your exact issue - the page won't accept any changes.  I can do nothing - the problem is with Etsy.  But now I'm in Vacation mode and can do nothing about it.  How can they legally do this?  I submitted a complaint with BBB as well.  So frustrating. Hopefully someone will read this and have a resolution to the problem.

I shutter to think if I needed to make any changes because people post all the time, they can't update! I suspect it's something you have to contact Etsy to help with. Very frustrating I know.

OF COURSE we all tried reaching out to Etsy Support. Which is to say, no support at all. The email responses I got from 3 different people boiled down to "you should be able to do that". (no kidding)

I dissolved my S-corp last November and have been trying to change to a Sole Proprietorship since the beginning of 2024. Still will not accept any change. So as of now, I'm actually operating under a defunct entity! Also, I know full well that once I file the final tax return for the S-Corp all of the taxpayer ID's attached to the S-Corp will become invalid. God help me--because Etsy will likely shut my Shops down (I have two). The first Shop I've worked on for over 5 years and am FINALLY getting significant traffic to it. The 2nd one is gaining legs.

I don't know what else to do here.
