Hello everyone.
I can't get my six-digit security code while login process as I have changed my cell number - I went to update this on my account but it keeps sending a verification number to my old number.
So I can not login my account, to see to my orders / create new listings etc.
I can reset my password via e-mail, but can't login anyway - because it wants to to verify using my now none existent cell number.
I've tried to contact Etsy Support but once again it's asking me to log in and verify myself
Is there any solution about this?
Thank you everyone. I have emailed them via the Help Centre so no need to log in. This is the link if anyone who reads this in the future needs it - https://help.etsy.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?segment=selling#issue_account_trouble_signing_in-contact...
The quickly sent me a list of questions to ID myself (probably about 10) now I just need to wait until Christmas is over to get a reply and get into my account, change my mobile and download those emergency codes!!!
Lesson learned eh!
Thanks again everyone for your support with this, much appreciated.

When you signed in for the 2 way verification, you got a series of 10 codes for cases like this, do you still have them
I don't unfortunately, I'm searching through all my files but nothing.
I wonder if you can go through the Etsy help center, explain the situation and ask them to send the code to your email. I know, it's asking a lot, isn't it.
This is exactly why I will NOT use 2 way verification.
I think 2-way verification is essential! However, only with a non-Internet-enabled phone! To do this, I reactivated an old-fashioned NOKIA phone and got a prepaid SIM card and number. This phone, in my opinion, cannot be hacked and remains in my desk drawer. Not even a burglar would take it.
My mobile phone is a Nokia, I purchased it in 2002, it is the only mobile I have,
as you say, non internet, no gps, no camera, or anything except phone and sms
unfortunately, I don't have a mobile phone signal either, so the phone is kept in the car, in case I break down , and hopefully there will be a signal there.
OP, go into Etsy as a buyer, change your phone number on your buyer profile, and see if you can enter your shop through your buyer account. I hope this idea works.
Etsy gave 10 codes when you set up, you need to use one of those,
They were not e-mailed, you had to download them
Or, you have to go through a very long-winded e-mail verification process with etsy - log a call through help - contact us
does this work?
Thanks Crafty, yeah I got there in the end, and got the email, which I replied to, now I just need to wait until Xmas is over to get a reply, which is fine, now I have a solution
This happened to me and I went to help and sent a message. This gave me an additional account, but my message was answered within a half hour. He just asked me a few verification questions and then disabled my 2FA so I could log in. I guess if you are a buyer you get help right away.
Thanks Jack, I finally located this and they've sent me the email to verify myself, it's just a wait now over Christmas to finalise everything. Lesson learned - either turn of 2FA or download the back up codes!
