Latest problem with the Etsy app or whatever comes up. Now I get an orange screen telling me I can’t edit my “new” shop and go to my computer. The picture shows a desktop and an ipad or iphone. Like you can use one of those devices to edit your shop.
I’m not a “new” shop. I’m using my ipad. I’m talking about the edit button on the first shop page. All I want to do is rearrange the photos!
Today I’m listing quite a few items using my ipad. The Etsy app started me off using the old form like you’d have on your desktop or laptop. So I’m listing seven or eight items this way, but I have to go into Safari to add the section to the listing.
The next listing I start putd me into a new app like format That asks for things like “core details” and I have to search for a category rather than the categories that I frequently use that come up automatically. They only show a few attributes, like size and you have to click on another button to show all the rest of the attributes to add them to your listing.
Everytime I pick up my ipad, I’m in a different universe with Etsy. One listing created using one set of tools, the next listing using a different program. And in each program the fields are in different order and under different names. What this creates is a situation where I’m not confident that any of my listings contain the info needed for a buyer to find in a search or answer questions a buyer may have. I have to go back and review every listing.
I don’t like to complain and I know things change, but this is too much. Did anyone test this app before it was launched? Did management pressure the tech dept. to roll it out and figure it will fix itself?
