I put my shop on vacation mode while I did a vendor show, and now I need to deactivate some listings that I sold so they don't get resold on Etsy. But when I try to deactivate them, I am getting this message: "Uh oh! Something went wrong - please try again." I thought taking my shop off vacation mode would do it, but it didn't. I don't want to delete the listings. HELP!! I need to get off of vacation mode!
You have to to go your shop home page and click on the listing to open the public page. Then you will have the options on the top left. You can deactivate it there.
@JillianGBoutique This has been going on for the last 3 days. Seems to be mostly with Listings Manager and the bulk-edit features. There are workarounds, but to deactivate, you will need to turn off Vaca mode first. Once you are open, view your own shop, click on the listing you want to deactivate, and use the option that is above the main listing picture. I've tried this - it works.
Go to your listing and go to the right drop down and click “view on Etsy”. When the listing comes up, at the top, there is a DEACTIVATE button that works. I just did one of mine. You can only do it from the View on Etsy view.
I have been getting this plus unable to Delete items - same message for the last three days.
What can I do?
JillianGBoutique there are many, many posts on this in the last couple days. According to chat support Etsy is aware and working on it. Did you try to deactivate in an actual listing? (at the top of your listing photo).
Yes, have tried to delete and tried to deactivate - same error message each time.
Thank you for your reply, just cross fingers and hope resolved soon!

I tried this and it does not work.

I just tried this and it still doesn't work. Still get the error message

Problem now solved, thanks to all who replied.
I went into my shop just now and went about the procedure as I always have done, and it deleted as it has always before.
Obviously just a glitch on Etsy for a few days - only a problem if someone bought something that had been sold with others in a reserved listing.
But I can’t get to your shop. Still get a Uh Oh !
How many shop owners are tired of seeing “Uh Oh” ? How about Etsy has gone to crap in a handbag.
