As a buyer, I used to be able to submit a 5-star review without having to write anything as long as I did it on my phone app. This is pretty standard when you order a bunch of similar supplies - rave about the first one or two, and just put the stars for the other 3 of the same type (i.e., headpins in multiple metals or the same yarn in 3 different colors). Now it won't let me leave a review without comment, whether it's on the laptop or the phone. Is this a browser issue, an app issue, or a "me" issue? Or has Etsy changed the policy so NO ONE can leave a rating without a comment? I like to be fair to the sellers I buy from, but I really don't want to have to leave 10 ratings when I only bought 3 types of items.

As a seller, I get a lot of 5-star ratings from people with no additional comment. I'd hate to think I won't be getting reviews at all because they don't want to bother.

i agree - it would probably be better for all parties involved to have as few hurdles as possible set up for reviewing. i've seen "five word review, as required" before

I think you can leave a review without comment on some aps. On a desktop, you must write at least 5 words

@9ElizabethStreet   I got a 5 star review that said "please write at least five words".  It worked.

Hello!

Prior to posting in a thread in the Forums, we ask that you please check if you are not bumping an old thread that hasn't seen any activity in a few months (or years, even).

Please note that reviving old threads can cause confusion for members reading, so always check the dates of the most recent replies before posting.

Having said that, we are closing this thread as it is indeed a bit older, and the information contained here may be outdated, however feel free to start your own thread if you still would like to discuss this topic.

Thank you!
