Can't Apply Core Details When Listing an Item

The core details pop up is not functioning.  After clicking physical item, made by another person, the apply button doesn't work.

@vintage4creations: Are you experiencing this using the Etsy app (on which operating system) or via mobile browser or desktop browser (which browser and operating system)?

Try a browser such as Edge or Safari rather than the Etsy Seller app. Etsy can be glitchy on certain browsers and devices. Turn off any VPN or ad-blocker apps.

Try a browser instead of an app. Or use a current listing as a template for a new one (copy/duplicate option). Hope it helps.

@vintage4creations  I couldn't scroll down and complete all of the Core details on chrome, only part... but could see the listing behind it. Eventually it fixed after I think it was a couple days. Are you using a computer. Is the scroll down feature on your mouse working properly?

Using a laptop, not the app.  Still not working this morning.  Cache cleared, computer restarted.  I was able to copy another listing and finish listing a new item that way.  Noticed they changed the "Apply" button to say "Continue".

@vintage4creations  Yes, that's a way to work around it. One thing I didn't try was to zoom down the percentage. Did you try that.

Still happening today, I cannot list.  Not using a app., I get a message about my core details are  incomplete and I see the message below

Please fix the following error in order to save your changes Core Details

But when I click on Core Details It only shows two boxes Physical item and Digital Files, the rest is just gone, its NOT there. I checked on Etsy forums and there are a few others complaining that this has been going on for a few weeks off and on, there are some from today including me., one gal said to Copy a listing and refill in with the new and post and that did work for me.  tried to find a place to report the issue but it gives you the run around.

If you copy a listing doesn't that cancel out the listing you are copying from?

I tried copying from an old expired listing and it still doesn't work..

Etsy is aware of the glitch but doesn't appear to want to fix the issue.

I'm having the same problem. It shouldn't be this hard to make a new listing. They should get this fixed instead of having so many work arounds.

Same here core detail page frozen. Just had chat with Etsy again they trying to fix it. Been frozen 4 days here now. Zero sales this week very unusual as January was busy time for sales right through to June. But na. Still time to paint and try update some more dark listing photos. Still few to update. Not got computer and app never been any good for listing so . Done couple on desk top but too long jumpy so just have to wait .

Same here!  Listing freezes on “Core Details” or when trying to add pictures.  This is so frustrating.  I’m wondering if I should close my shop and list my items on other platforms.  Sad, I really liked selling on Etsy.

I am having this issue as well. I have a chrome book so a chrome browser no app. This has been day four now with no new listings.

Phew, I thought it was just me! Same issue, updated my device, still unable to add core details. I was able to continue the listing process, hoping to save the listing….sadly, this didn’t work…I was unable to save without completing…core details. Sigh. I worked around it by repurposing a listing that “sold out” 4 years ago. Very frustrating.

I did manage to report the issue in detail to Etsy specifying which section was not working (Sunday Jan 19) and received an automated reply of Thank you then a few mins later another automated replay giving me quite long and detailed instructions on How to figure out WHICH section of the listing was not working and how to report., Its very clear that its the Core Details, its NOT there.  so no real human is available.. they sent me an auto reply on Monday saying "Tell us How we did"!!   Etsy must be horribly short handed.

Not working on Android, but it looks like it's fine on my computer. Although still a pain in the butt when pics are taken from my phone... Never used the app.

Das Problem habe ich auch, seit letzter Woche. Habe schon mehrmals Etsy darüber informiert, passiert nichts. Neue Produkte einstellen kann ich nur über Kopie Funktion, ist aber kein Lösung! Ich hoffe Etsy behebt das Problem bald !

I've been having this same problem all week. I'm so irritated. There are too many problems listing items in the past year. It's always a different problem.  Their work arounds are too difficult. Listing should be simple and easy. I'm going to start selling somewhere else if this isn't fixed soon. It's so frustrating.

Have you contacted support?  I did (via chat).  The rep told me the case never got forwarded to the team who handles this sort of issue.  Ridiculous.  EVERYONE havijg this issue needs to contact Etsy support, otherwise it will never get fixed.  They need to be flooded with complaints.  If you use the chat option, eventually you get to converse with an actual human instead of the ridiculous AI.
