I am happy that my customers like my products, but sometimes the photos they share of my product is not very flattering. I take alot of care to create quality photos for my products, but so the photos taken by a customer, is not what I care to have reflected. Is there a way to hide those photos?
No. If it is obscene, you can flag the review and Etsy might remove it but that's about it.
OK....
The first photo in your reviews is fine.
You can ask Etsy to remove the photo, but they most likely won't.
Just as a note about one of your listings: Alteration services are not allowed by Etsy.
I have a monogramming service, not alterations.........
We used to be able to hide review photos, but they took this ability away from us a while back, maybe a year and a half or two years ago. A lot of buyers have asked for this back, especially when the photos don't even show the product that was purchased, but Etsy doesn't care.
@ZeldaandFitz: The photos are a part of the review, so one or the other would need to meet the legal requirements for removal. Unfortunately poor photo taking skills is not one of those reasons.
It's really a shame that they took that option away from us. Some of the photos I have received in reviews don't look much like what they actually purchased, muddy colors, poor presentation, etc. They certainly are not photos that would make someone else want to purchase, lol.
Agree! I have one where the buyer took a selfie and you can't even see the pendant. LOL
Yes, that's my concern as well.
We used to be able to and I'm not sure why it has been decided that now we can't but Etsy does seem to be taking more and more control of our shops.
