First time using the automation with DHL express- and the wrong tracking numbers were inserted to two orders.
I only noticed this a few days after I shipped, and now I can't edit the tracking numbers (the orders were successfully delivered to both clients). I added a package to each order with the correct tracking numbers, however, I am afraid that Etsy might deduct from my star-seller rating (even though I shipped on time, and it's a "courier's fault"). Can someone on Etsy support perhaps open the option to edit the original tracking numbers? Will my customers be able to leave a review? If the added package is marked as delivered...?
Thanks in advance!

Hello @ReamitJewelry,
After checking your Star Seller, we can confirm you have 100% for the On-Time Shipping & Tracking metric. Please note that you have the option to edit the incorrect tracking number within 72 hours, from the time you've added them. Once you re-entered the correct tracking number and the tracking events are showing on Etsy, it may take about 24 hours for this score to update. For more information on how to add/edit the tracking number, you may visit this Help Article.
Thank you very much!

Re: Can I edit a wrong tracking number?
You can only edit the number within 3 days of marking complete. The buyer will still be able to leave feedback from 5 working days after your ship by date. I am not sure how it works with DHL, but I imagine the Etsy side of things would not change.

Betreff: Can I edit a wrong tracking number?
Since you're a starseller, you will find an Etsy chat icon in the lower right corner of your dashboard (laptop)
You can ask there.
If the second parcels were "overdue" you will get dinged for shipping, I suppose.
You can check your percentage in your starseller dashboard.

Re: Can I edit a wrong tracking number?
Thank you! Unfortunately, it took me more than 72 hours to notice this...
So I guess there is nothing to do now

Re: Can I edit a wrong tracking number?
if the Etsy chat icon is only for star sellers (which I am in secret), can I swap it for my badges back?

Re: Can I edit a wrong tracking number?
If we want to mention new tracking after 72 hours then is there any solution for it? Fedex had issued wrong tracking number by mistake and they generated a new one after 3 days so can we go to the same order and add new tracking number on new package

Re: Can I edit a wrong tracking number?
No, once the 72 hrs have passed you can no longer edit. I wouldn't worry about missing out on the badge, it is unlikely to make much, if any, difference.

Re: Can I edit a wrong tracking number?
Hi I did this myself last week. I noticed that my star seller delivery score had gone down to 95%, and I put tracking on everything. It came to light that I had put the tracking number on but marked it as dispatched with Parcelforce instead if Royal Mail on about 9 orders over a week. I contacted help desk and they advised me to add another parcel, add the same tracking number and mark to the correct courier so it’s showing as 2 shipments. I was worried that it would show that they were not dispatched on time but that didn’t happen because they were completed on the right date, and I went back to 100% the next day. So you just need to go to your completed orders, click on add a package and add it on and it should correct itself. I hope this helps, have a lovely day, Helen x
