A buyer messaged ‘order received’
I didn’t reply to that as I thought they were probably wanting to write a review but messaged instead.
Now my star seller badge got affected due to late reply to the message that wasn’t a query.
It doesn't matter what the purpose of the message was, Etsy doesn't read our messages, and most of us would not want them to. You have to reply OR mark each new message as spam within 24 hrs. Create a few snippets on the Messages page, one for "Thank you", one for "Glad to hear it", one for "hope to see you back soon", or whatever meets your needs. Once created it is literally 3 clicks to open the snippets list, choose the one you want and send it.

Mark it now as spam and see if your Star Seller numbers change in a few days. It isn't just questions that need an answer; however, you can try to fix it now.
I always respond with 'thanks for letting me know' or something similar.
