Bug cream getting removed

Hello!

My organic big cream consistently gets removed. The system flags it no matter what wording I use for the cream.

There are lots of listings plainly saying they are mosquito repellents. 

Why does my listing keep getting targeted and others dont?

My ingredients include lemon eucalyptus, coconut oil, , rosewater, beeswax, lavender, tea tree and lemon oil.

Thanks for any info and an etsy representative who could help me post this in all fairness would be great!!

Etsy is very sensitive to anything that even hints of anything medical. 

Do not look to other shops to see what is okay.  Etsy takes down plenty of listings while others spring up. 

You will need to contact Etsy via Contact us under Help.  

Oh and even though you use natural ingredients make sure to have insurance.  Highly needed in the beauty/health arena.

No and I even have AI overview the posting to remove anything that could be views as theraputic

This may seem like a silly question, but is naming it "bug" cream in itself a medical claim? I do not know the answer.

You can't claim to treat a sunburn or arthritis, etc. So - is it preventing bug bites or treating bug bites? Treating them is a medical claim. Is preventing them? Preventing something can definitely be a medical claim in certain circumstances. I seriously have no idea.

If you even remotely suggest medical claims or therapeutic benefits, Etsy will remove the listing.  What others do is not relevant. Catching every listing that breaks the rules is an endless game of whack-a-mole.  When one gets hit, 5 more pop up.  Don't rely on what others do to decide what you can get away with.

Do you have anything in the description, tags or title the mentions the FDA?

Your other creams are not FDA regulation compliant.  Your creams are considered a cosmetic.  FDA regulations require that you have the complete physical address (address including street number, street, city, state, zip. No PO Boxes permitted) of where the product is made.  They also require that the net weight be displayed on the label in both ounces and grams.  Etsy, might not require these things but the FDA does and if you are caught you could be shut down.

Yours got caught, the others have not yet been caught...

Simple answer> Don't do what others do...do what adheres to Etsy rules and policies as well as whatever is required by law...
