Bug/Technical Issue regarding updating bank accounts!

I have run into a problem regarding updating my bank account. After Etsy changed my bank country because I asked them to, I can't change my IBAN anymore so I am stuck with a country code that does not fit my still live IBAN. Etsy support tried to unlink the account but the problem still persists with me not being able to update the account.

I have now waited more than !!3 WEEKS!! for the issue to be resolved, with Etsy support constantly telling me that they will resolve it SOON, that the ticket was escalated to the technical team, to no avail! On October the 2nd my deposit money will go to a wrong account that I am not associated with and I am freaking out a bit. I need to pay my business bills and I have no fix in sight. Since today I also can't contact support via chat, my last 2 mails to Zetsy were ignored and my open ticket remains unanswered. I have no telephone support in Austria for Etsy. I even tried reaching out to Etsy on my socials now, and I am quite done with this.

I need it fixed and if I'm not the only one, so do the others! This can't be what you call great support here, I thought it will get better now with the higher Etsy fees?! PLEASE fix this!

I might be wrong here or have misunderstood but you cannot change banking information to another country, you can change country but would need to keep the banking info you set your shop up with.

You would have to set up a new shop in the country you have moved to with the new banking information.

If your current bank account is located in the eurozone of Europe and you’re moving to another country within the eurozone, you can select Contact support at the bottom of this page for help updating your bank to the new country.

If you’re anywhere else

It’s not possible to change a bank account to another country.

The best option is to open a new Etsy shop. With your new shop, you can set your bank account to one in your current country. However, you can’t merge Etsy accounts or transfer information from your original shop to your new shop. This means that shop data, including listings, reviews, or sales numbers, can't be moved over to a new account. You can include the URL for your original shop in your new shop to display your reviews and sales numbers to shoppers.

Etsy support changed it to another country for me and NOW I can’t update from here. Yes you can if you ask support directly, as a business in the Eurozone I am allowed to have my bank account anywhere in the Eurozone and Etsy let’s you do that if you ask. But after them changing the country I can’t change the IBAN anymore. That is the problem!
