Bot Traffic not getting removed - Conversation Rate in the Gutter

Every 5 days for the last 6 weeks I've had bot traffic at about 2/3am my time come in and do 2,000-8,000 visits in about 30 seconds

Per Etsy's "policy" these are supposed to be removed. They aren't... I can look over the last 60 days and see these spikes.

My conversion rate 7 weeks ago was about 5%, now it's 1.7%

Chat refuses to help, repeating the "bot views are removed" after expressing that just isn't the reality

Anybody have any advice to stop this?

Bot views are removed not bot visits

BOT views are removed about every 3 hours or so.  Visits are what counts. Are you truly getting that many visits?  What does Google analytics have for your shop?

Have you been promoting elsewhere or is someone else promoting your items?  One thing to look for.

Presuming that Etsy's stats are accurate, visits (actually probably should be called visitors) counts the number of unique accounts that have been on one of you pages during a session. (Presumably 'not logged in' visitors are each considered as a unique account based on some other criteria.) Views count every single click on your listing or your shop. So if a individual shopper looked at the same listing twice in a session, that counts as two views and one visit; if they looked at ten listings and your shop home page that would be eleven views and one visit during that session.

I mis spoke these are VISITS. Hence the drop in conversion dramatically

2-8,000 visits happening at 2/3am every 5 days

Since this is viewed on the stats page, views aren't showing up

I have not been promoting anywhere else, and when I look on the "direct traffic sources" it is nothing out of the ordinary. Just a couple (under 10) visits from the usual scraping sits (erank, evlista, etc)

- 6,721 visits this morning

- 5,788 visits on 4/30/24 at roughly 2/3am PST

- Every monday before that had 2-4,000 visits at roughly the same time

These visits aren't showing up on my google analytics and everything is configured correctly and has been the last 3 years, including updating with google's new analytic changes recently

I’m having this same problem. I messaged Etsy support. It’s been happening since June and our conversion rate is wayyyy down now. I looked at the list of websites and they make no sense. This is definitely not direct traffic we solicited.
