Bitly not working for Etsy links anymore?

Bitly is not working for Etsy links anymore on listings, it will shorten them but they are not clickable on Etsy! Anyone else have this problem?

I'm looking into other websites to see if there is another I can use to create the Etsy.me links

That's odd. I have bitly links in every listing in my shop and they are all still clickable when I checked. I just checked on a couple of your listings and the bitly links all work for me when I click. 

@WildLilyStudios  yours are working for me too when I checked. 

I checked in edge and chrome browsers and they are working in both on my windows desktop.

I'm on Android and all of mine are working as well.  I checked a couple @BluKatDesign and @WildLilyStudios  and yours link properly for me.

Has anyone found an answer to this? My old links all start with etsy.me and now they start with bitly and arent working.

I've just checked mine and they are still starting with etsy.me and they are working.

ETA: Checked one of your listings and it also has etsy.me links which work fine.

Yes, same problem here. 

I was looking to add the newer categories to my product descriptions, but something has changed. Back when I first used bitly to do that, which was about 1 year ago, first you could just copy paste the link and right away you would get an etsy.me link. Now you need to sign up, which is no problem, their free plan allows for 50 links a month (I am just looking to add 3-4 more), but the new shortened link no longer converts to etsy.me, and won't work as a clickable link on Etsy neither. All my old links still work though, but I haven't touched them. If anyone comes up with something, it'd be amazing to share!

Yes, I was just creating some new links and they're showing in the listing but not clickable. I then tried Tiny URL and it has exactly the same problem so I've had to resort to the lumbering links that are soooooooooo long! It seems that any old Bitly links are fine BUT if you change something in the old listing or try to make a brand new link, it's not working. I'll keep checking to see if anyone manages to find a workaround but until then, I'll just have to have links that are 5 ft long! Ah well, at least they work!

I just checked a few of my listings and the bitly links are all working. I have bitly links in all of my listings. I use the bitly browser extension for Chrome to create my links.

For any newcomers - the OP is not speaking about previously made bitly links using etsy.me - they are speaking of new links - bitly isn't allowing for an etsy.me link to be created. Yes, they do want you to upgrade.

I would love to find the answer to this! I can shorten them but they are not clickable-- and i have a lot of custom tshirt sets that i sell, that i need to link to another listing. I doubt the customers will actually copy and paste the links into their broswer... shoppers are lazy or in a rush. i hope someone finds an answer to this. I tried searching for how to make clickable links and having no luck with that either.

I wonder if it depends on how / where the link is created (app vs pc vs direct vs extension) ... I created a new listing today with a bitly/etsy.me link and it works just fine. Chrome PC direct from bitly.
