Bank account issues

Hi all

 I have entered my bank account information. I have made my first sale but i have to verify it before i finish the sale. 

Etsy is asking me for THE 16 DIGIT and exparation date on my card Unfortunately the bank account i linked i dont have a debit card for payments.

What is the solution? Do i have to make a card? And what happens with the person who is waiting to finish the buying process from me?

This is a most likely a scam.  Do you have a sale showing in your orders page on your dashboard?  Or did you receive a message saying you need to verify your card information in order to complete the sale.  If the message is from Etsy - and NOT in the "From Etsy" section of your messages, it is a fake Etsy message.

STOP! What you are describing sounds like a scammer.  If someone is claiming to be a Buyer needing your email, this is a scammer. In this case, do not engage with them.  So you don't get dinged for Star Seller, Mark the Message as Spam.  When you receive a TRUE Order, it will appear in your "Orders & Shipping" Page (in Shop Dashboard). If it's not there, it's a scam.

Scammers are also impersonating Etsy Support/Staff. Should you get a Message from a REAL Etsy Staff/Support person, it will appear in your "From Etsy" Folder (in Messages). Here is the Announcement about it (it was at the top of the Forum; now it's in past Forum Announcements).

Just when i created the account i got a message that i sold something. The think was that i also got a message on sellers app that i have to check my email for a verification on my sales. I mistakely opened it. I dont know whats is gonna happen. It was 2 different emails from 2 different persons that i sold to them and i will have to verified my details to the no reply email so as to continue. And i did it....

@GeorgiouBrands  This is definitely a scammer. If you gave them any banking information, I would put a stop on your card right away. And run virus scans on all of your devices. I'm really sorry this happened to you.

Be sure to mark the message as SPAM so that it does not affect your stats.

Wbat i dont understand and if someone knows to explain me is why on payment settings there is a billing section were they asknyou to put your 16 digits code and all the details of a debit card. This was very trocky to me thats why i i did it also on the email i got from the scammers. Because they asked me for verification

Etsy requires a payment option in your account in case of refunds and to pay fees. The Scammers requested to know your credit card info so they can use or sell it. They hoped to fool you into believing they were Etsy. They especially target new sellers. Sorry that happened to you. Glad you came to the forums.

Yeah but is tricky especially if you get a message on your message tab of etdy that you have to take an action. Etsy must find a way to protect its sellers and buyers especially if those how are new and dont know the app well
