Automatic Renewal resulting in Star Seller being removed

I received a notice this morning that my Star Seller badge has been removed.  I have 100% on time shipping, 4.9 stars overall rating, etc.  Etsy is saying that I have a creative violation. The necklace in question was removed back in September.  I have had no success getting help even though I sent out probably 10 different messages.  This WAS handmade by ME. Now, this necklace auto renewed (previous setting).  I also have it on my Pattern website.  Why would Etsy allow it to be auto-renewed?  This resulted in a FINAL warning & my Star Seller being removed. This MUST be a glitch but it is hurting dedicated sellers that are truly Etsy warriors.  I don't understand this!

@LarasThemeJewelry: You need to keep in mind that "violated Etsys creativity standards" can encompass much more than just if it is handmade and / or designed by you. The violation can be anything from a 'prohibited' word in your title, description, or tags, to a non-conforming primary image, to being misclassified in core details, to intellectual property infringements, and lot in between.

One of the most common reasons, though, seems to be a shop's images being found on a wholesale site. Have you checked to see if your images have been stolen?

A deactivated listing normally does not auto renew, but perhaps this is different if you also have it in a Pattern site? Maybe you need to unlink it from Etsy so it is Pattern-only?

Yes, my images have been stolen by Temu and who knows who else.  I will take it off of Pattern but that doesn't seem right since it is my business' website.  It is very discouraging since I see so much manufactured jewelry (tons of hoops earrings) on Etsy but my handmade pieces are removed and then I am punished for it.

Re: Automatic Renewal resulting in Star Seller being removed

@LarasThemeJewelry   You need to pursue the theft of your photos and issue takedown notices to those sites and let Etsy know.  If you didn't pursue it, Etsy may be thinking that it was something not handmade by you.

Did you take one message and reply back to Etsy asking for an update on the listing?  Opening up new messages through Contact us only gets them closed down.

Etsy seems to be getting more assertive.  If a shop has a removal Etsy seems to immediately removing the SS badge.

I know Etsy allows items to be sold on Pattern that can't be sold on Etsy but I wonder if this is a gray area.  Really can't say.

Re: Automatic Renewal resulting in Star Seller being removed

I have pursued this & will continue to do so but sometimes you don't know what they are stealing.  It is like you are sitting duck not to mention the time it takes especially at Christmas time.

I will directly respond to their email notice only.  Thank you for the advice.  Yes, the last "strike" which was hand made by me, I sent messages through many avenues to Etsy.  Just got weird automated responses.  Never heard any answer back.  This time, I will follow what you said.  To me, this seems very complicated especially when you are a successful shop with a 4.9 rating to be knocked down like this. I also have three items with bestseller badges.
