Apple ID not working!

I’ve been going round in circles with this issue. I use my Apple ID to log into my Etsy account and it’s stopped working for no reason. Luckily it is still logged in on my app which I’m using and on my phone safari browser. So I’m relying on my phone to run my shop. Anywhere else I cannot login I’ve tried various laptops and different browsers etc. When I try and login it says it’s verifying and just takes me back to the sign in page. Any suggestions I’ve contacted Etsy but had no reply. If I lose or break my phone I’ll have no access to my shop, please help!!!

The same issue is happening to me! I have always used my Apple ID to log into my Etsy account, but it has stopped working on all laptop/computer devices - it redirects me back to the sign in account and last time I tried, it made me create an account as if I never had one to begin with. Like you, I am still luckily logged in via the Etsy seller app.

I really hope this problem gets solved soon!

Hi thanks for your reply. That sounds like the exact same issue I’m having. It’s so strange isn’t it. For me this has been going on for nearly 2 weeks and I’m no closer to finding a solution unfortunately.

I have the same issue on a second Etsy account I have and started a few days ago. No issues on the app on my phone, so I can keep things going with customers, but I can't login on my computer, so no new listings

No it’s my Apple ID that I’m using

Yes, but if you're not able to log in with the Apple ID, shouldn't the Etsy username/password work instead?

No unfortunately it doesn’t work like that an account using my email would be seperate to my Apple account if that makes sense.

@MadeByMissSmith  I never enter my email when logging into Etsy. I use my username and password. Did you try that.

Thanks for the suggestion but that doesn’t work either. I’ve just downloaded the Etsy seller app on an old phone I found and I can log on there. So can log onto the app but not on a web browser

Have you tried clearing your computer's browser cache/cookies to see if that does anything? If you're using a VPN, maybe turn that off too?

Thanks for the suggestion but yes I’ve tried that and don’t use a VPN. Struggling to think what else I can try

Have you tried it with a private browser window? That's something that I have to use when logging into one of the websites I go to. I have no other ideas as I'm not familiar with AppleID at all, sorry.

I went through the help centre and filled out a form attached some pics. Where can I find the chat support if you wouldn’t mind pointing me in the right direction I haven’t spoken to anyone from Etsy don’t know if I’m looking in the wrong place thanks

Exact same issue.  Thank goodness it's open in the Etsy app on my iphone, but not able to log in from my desktop with my Apple ID and password.  Odd thing is, I DISCONNECTED that shop from the Etsy app on my phone today, logged back in with Apple Face ID, and it let me back into that shop.  But I have tried to log in from numerous browsers from both of my desktops (Windows and Mac) entering my Apple ID and password, and it won't let me in.  Reached out to Etsy, someone contacted me last night. I followed all of the steps they suggested including making sure that VPN was turned off in all cases, and it's still not letting me in. So far, FACE ID on my phone is the only option that's working.  So is it an Etsy issue?  Or Apple's?  It's a serious issue, whoever it belongs to. Will share here if I get anything helpful from Etsy.

Oh sorry you’re having the same issue as me, it’s so frustrating isnt it. When did yours start? This has been going on a couple of weeks for me. Yesterday I tried logging onto the app on an old phone and that also worked fine (no Face ID just using password) so the app seems ok. But same, I’ve tried various laptops and my sister has tried on hers for me and it’s the same everyone just straight back to the sign in page. I haven’t tried messaging Apple yet but that may be my next option if Etsy can’t fix it…

@MyPaintedPorch@MadeByMissSmith : If you can log in via the app but not with a browser, then the two most obvious culprits are either a misconfiguration by Etsy or an issue with the browser / operating system.

Have you tried logging in to some other platform via your browser and using your Apple ID? Success or failure would at least narrow down the suspects.

@MadeByMissSmith@BagmakerSupply: Have attempted via various browsers and systems, and no go. Able to log in fine to iCloud from both operating systems using Apple ID and password however. @MadeByMissSmith: Would say it's been over a week for sure. Super frustrating!
