App vs Website

Why does the Etsy Seller App know things that the website does not and vice versa? For example, the Stats page in the app shows that Eliz favorited one of my items, but that information does not show up on the News and Activity page in the app or on the website dashboard. Another example is Mike favorited my shop but that information shows up on the website dashboard and the News and Activity page in the app, but not under Followed your shop on the Stats page in the app. Mike makes my seventh admirer, but my shop shows only 6 admirers. Why?

@wnt93nixolcbqz72: There are a number of possibilities - the queries used by the app are different than those use by the website; they may be calculated and cached at different times thus showing different results; etc. Only Etsy (might) know for sure.

There are lots of discrepancies between the two platforms, particularly in basic (working) functionalities and data presentation.

I just discovered another issue this afternoon. I can see the picture my customer sent in our message thread on my PC but it doesn't appear in our conversation on the app.

Also, since the Beta days of the new App sometimes the picture in the app is cropped at the top and bottom.

We're supposed to be able to work away from our PC using the app but these issues make it a challenge. I don't remember any of these issues with our Orange Sell on Etsy App.
