As of this week in November I cannot download and print packing slips? I usually down load my gift messages and print them in adobe acrobat since I customize the dimensions in there. For some reason ETSY won't let me download them. Every time I try to download the packing slip the chrome browser gives me an error message stating " the file was not available on site" message. Anyone else dealing with this?
I usually just print out the Packing Lists at same time as printing Shipping Labels ... sometimes I will download both for printing out later, but have not had any issues recently. Is your computer system & chrome browser up to date? I had several Windows updates last night and even more again this morning.
Did you try to just take a screen shot of it and print from that?
@TheHomespunLoft screenshots are not good enough quality for printing.
I have a similar issue. They used to download as a PDF but now they download as something else. What I do is click print and then 'print' save as PDF. The file name is not the usual 'download (date)' but just a random number. I add the order name to the file name when I save it so I know what it is.
Sure they are!!--The quality is the EXACT same-- I do it all the time.. Maybe it is your devices?? mine print screen shots just fine.
Yes, I have this too - I now print from my phone! I was wondering if updating Chrome might solve it.
I've had this issue for more than a month. My solution is also to click the Print button, then save as a PDF. Alternatively, you can change your browser settings to save the PDF instead of opening it. I tested that & it works. But I prefer to have my browser open PDFs instead of saving everything. I use Brave, so the settings for changing whether to open or save PDFs is in the Privacy & Security settings. You can change how PDFs are handled there.
I have the same issue. It either tells me my download failed because it's "forbidden" or it says it's not available on the site. I couldn't find a way around it on Chrome but got it to work on Safari but I had to mess with the settings after that to get things to the right size.
When the PDF opens in the browser, try right clicking on the document on the screen and see if it says 'save as'. You should be able to save that locally as a PDF.
Mine printed fine this morning. PC/Microsoft Edge. Try a different browser.
Lots of bugginess with Chrome/Etsy this year. I have the same problem in Chrome with shipping labels for the last month or so and have been saving as a PDF instead. I know it's not much extra work, but all the little extra tasks start to add up after a while. I wish Etsy just worked properly instead.
