So this has been going on since I started my shops on Etsy... I'll get an alert that someone liked something in one of my shops, and normally it shows up in my app favorites ("news") tab.
But sometimes I get no notice, the favorited item doesn't appear in the home-screen "news" section, etc. There's only one way I've found to access these "hidden" favorites: Click on one of the home-screen stat arrow links, scroll all the way to the bottom, then click there's a section called "shop engagement" with another link to "favorited items" view. This display always shows the full spectrum of my shop items that are favorited. See the related images; they should match (aside from the sale), but they don't... notice the missing ~3 favorites or so:
I started wondering if this means those "hidden" listings are somehow different... are they favorites that the viewer then unfavorited? Do they just never make it into the news section as a fluke?
The problem primarily occurs on my canvas wall art Etsy shop, likely because I've put much more work into it and get more views:
