Anyone having a problem adding a new listing? I'm a Vintage Seller

Hi Everyone, Happy, peaceful New Year!   I just tried to add a listing, as per usual, and It isn't working, period.    

anyone else having trouble adding new listings?   There's nothing weird or that should be a problem with the listing, it's for a vintage blue rubber reindeer figurine!!!   Am I missing something???   I'm not getting any error or missing information messages???   Thank You in advance.

Are you getting a red error banner?

Are you trying to copy a listing or starting from scratch?

I had a glitch earlier tonight, I was trying to renew a listing with changes and got the error.  So I just renewed BEFORE making changes, then made the changes I needed after.  I get this error kind of on an irritating semi regular basis..  sigh.

Are you creating a new listing from scratch? If it doesn't work, try to copy (duplicate) an existing listing and use it as a template for a new one. Hope it works. Good luck!

I listed a few items earlier today no problems. Are you on the app or a computer?

Been adding new items all day.  I always copy from an existing listing.

Probably a temporary glitch that will soon correct itself.

Sometimes when I add a listing I get the red "Contact Etsy" banner.

I always change the physical listing to a digital one, then go back and change it back to a physical one. Then I have to add the shipping profile choice.

This hack allows me to publish MOST listings. I still have one that is permanently broken no matter what I do, but I don't think the effort in trying to contact Etsy for help would be worth my time and effort.

I added listings today with no real issues. I copied a listing and edited. It seems to now erase the quantity so you have to readd it..don't remember that before and lately it ALWAYS flashes the "If you leave you may lose your listing/information banner after I hit publish..but I push leave and the listing is published just fine. Not sure why that pops up.

Yeah, I get that same stupid banner and have since I started using the listing form. It doesn't happen for every listing, though.

More glitches Etsy has no interest in fixing.

I’m having a problem listing a new item. In the  “Core Details” section where it asks “Who Made It” and I click on “ I Did” and then the “Continue” button nothing happens. It’s like it’s frozen. I’m on iPad and I’ve also tried on my phone with same results.

Yes!  You can not get past "core details"!  From the looks of it, it is still happening now- March 2025, since January.  I wasted some time with Etsy Support, did the whole screen shot thing, sent those to them - tried different browsers - same.  After scolding them, I've given up.  I copy an old sold-out listing to drafts and then re-do the listing from that one.  I feel bad for everyone who is new/trying to do new listings, though.  Try Etsy Support - If enough people bug them, maybe it will get fixed.

I added to listings to my vintage store 2 days ago with no issues.

I've got the same problem for several months, got an "error code", and sent it to Etsy Help. They ansewered they were going to fix this bug but in reality did nothing : I still can't modify ANYTHING (nor photos, neither texts or prices...). I can't even save as "draft".

A lot of Etsy sellers have this same (huge) problem, and we haven't found a way to get rid of it (if it's possible) for the moment...
