Anyone else unable to send messages to buyers?

I just received a message from a potential customer about one of my listings. When I tried to reply to their question, I got an Etsy message saying that it didn’t send. I tried to resend and it still didn’t work. Anyone else struggling with this issue? Normally it works just fine for me.

It is obviously some glitch.  You could try logging out and back in or clearing your cache or try with a different browser.

Thank you, it must have been a glitch because it started working in an hour or two.

Are you having issues reply to all customers, or just this one? I'm wondering if this message isn't sending because the user no longer exists. I think there is an error message that pops up if you try sending to an account that Etsy got rid of. What happens if you click the customer's username, does it exist? If that isn't the issue, you could try the usual clearing of cookies/cache or a different browser to see if it's a non-Etsy issue.

it could be `1 of 3 things

1. a glitch - change browser and don't use the app.

2. The person has been spamming people, and Etsy has removed their account

3. you have been spamming people, and etsy has blocked you from messaging people.

I am facing the same issue. whenever I am trying to send message to buyer getting error from Etsy "message sending failed"

Hi, I had the similar issue. I contacted support & after that it worked. You need to contact Etsy support to resolve it.
