Anyone else not getting cha-Chong’s or message notifications with new app?

I have been using the new un-improved (sorry Etsy but it is not as good as the old app) app for over a week. Today I have not gotten cha-chings for my orders and also got a message and there was no notification. Luckily I checked my emails. Anyone else experiencing this?

I have actually been having this happen lately too. It's only this week for me, though, as I was receiving notifications last week on that app. My guess is that they are updating the app or its a glitch and it *should* go away soon. But yes, I am also having this happen. One option I use as a backup is to have the regular Etsy buyer app (the orange one) with notifications on. You'll get notifications about messages there too.

me too! ugh. the etsy app changes seem to be problematic, often.

Yep. The new app is horribly unreliable with notifications. I still have the old one installed too and it never misses an order or message notification. The new app fails to notify me of at least half of them. It's simply unreliable which make is mostly useless to me.

Was lucky to get 1/4 sale notifications on the old app - no difference with the new. Thx Etsy!

Also, I sent a reply to the buyer from the New Etsy app, and it didn't show up in the Old app! Our "star Status depends on Responses...so we have to send it to the buyers twice? And if the new app is not working properly, no cha-ching, etc. how are we to run our business?  keep going back and forth to double check both Apps!! oh my...this is how these IT happen To Us Sellers, not  FOR US ever since IT showed up on the scene. 

Further, if the new app is only for Apple phones, and they are taking down the original on May first? or what? ...what happens on the Android computer I really depend on?  any ideas?

Re: star seller stuff- the new app is also missing the 'mark as spam' option in messages which is an essential tool for many of us. 90% of the messages I get are spam so I sort of need the option to mark as spam. 

Also, the new app isn't just for apple phones. They may be testing some features just on apple phones but it's available for both apple and android. I have it and the old one installed on an android. The old app isn't going to magically vanish on the 1st to my knowledge. It just won't be supported anymore meaning they just won't update or do anything with it after that date.

I had deleted the old one cause it looked like it wasn't updating as it use to. Luckily I was able to redownload it. Keeping it now as long as possible.

None of the apps have worked well for us. I hate that the apps have different functionality from the site.

So frustrated.  This was the EXACT REASON I lost my Star Seller Status for the first time since the program started.  Notifications stopped popping up on the old & new app!  But according to Etsy, there’s nothing they can do about it?

Hi there,

As a first step, we strongly recommend reinstalling the Etsy Seller app to make sure that the files will be refreshed. Once the Etsy Seller app has been removed from your device, you may download the newest available version via this link.

If you're still not getting the notification, you may check the notification settings on your device. 

To access your notifications settings in the Etsy Seller app(iOS), sign in and go to More > Settings > App notifications. After confirming your notification settings within the app, make sure your device allows notifications from the app as well. From your device's home screen, go to Settings > Notifications > Etsy and choose Allow Notifications.

To access your notifications settings in the Etsy Seller app(Android), sign in and go to Settings & Help > Notification Settings. After confirming your notification settings within the app, make sure your device allows notifications as well. The location of this setting may vary depending on the device you use. In a Galaxy SIII, you can find this under Settings > Applications manager. Scroll down to the app and make sure you have the box checked next to Show notifications.

I haven't been able to get the kerching for years. However I do get notifications and use my own sounds. This happened when I changed phones a couple of years ago,the cash register sound wasn't available.
