Anyone else having trouble with the updated edit tools?

I can't figure out how to crop anymore! It used to be so easy with the free form crop tool, but it all updated on my Etsy last night and the new crop tool is difficult and doesn't work at all like the free form one.

Help?

The new edit tool takes forever to load and I can't see the crop area at all!!! That's all I want to do and can't see where it is. All I see is brightness, etc. Very confusing! I tried three different times to load that edit area, and finally gave up, my photos are NOT cropped!

Won't work at all for me, wont let me edit or crop, just keeps crashing/freezing!

I've just noticed the alt text has cleared on all my listings that I know previously had it! Very annoying and time consuming to go through and re do it all!

The crop tool is behind the Transform button at the bottom.

Yes, it is there. But it’s not working for me either — and I’ve seen others mention the same issue. Maybe there’s a step or setting we’re missing? Would love to know if anyone’s figured it out!

I can find it, and I crop, but there is no save button. I have tried looking for it on both desktop and mobile. So despite cropping, it doesn't save.

I just gave it a try and found that I could crop, but it was difficult because there is no black border. So if your image has a white background it's hard to even get the crop handles to appear.

I see an Apply and a Cancel button on the top right once I am in edit mode. On a desktop.

the new cropping tool update is inconsistent, you can correct it perfectly and re-submit your changes only to find your 1st image is too small, to one side etc. trying many times on different listing old and new.

Listed a new item today and all was perfect, about 3 hours later the 1st main image was 1/3 cut off.

I suspect there will be some teething problems with rolling this update out

I crop to where I want it to be, and I can't find a save button anywhere, not on the desktop version or on the mobile version.

First time I am listing since this new version came into effect, and boy, it's not really user friendly at all. Can't crop and lots of extras that I can't use. Just want to crop, my listing looks terrible

I've tried the new crop tool several times.  There was only one time I was able to crop a photo successfully.  Since then, when I select a photo to crop, it displays a very small, almost invisible square inside the picture and I'm unable to do any cropping to the image.  This is annoying, as I always need to do some fine tuning to my photos when I do a listing, and now I have to go back out, edit them in my photo editor, and reload them all again.  I didn't need more work.

I know it probably a surprise (wink, wink) but I don't think the crop tool is ready for prime time yet!

I have been trying to edit one of my previous listing to make a new similar listing.  NOTHING IS WORKING RIGHT!!! The adjust your thumbnail button has an "apply and cancel" button and when you "apply" it asks you if you want to "edit or discard".....it does not save so you are dead in the water and can't go any farther.  I am on my desktop that is fully up to date.  I tried everything and finally decided I give up so I'd just save it as a "draft".  Nope..... do you want to "edit or discard" it asks me and does not save it as a draft.  ETSY this is ridiculous!!!  Do you just want us all to give up and go someplace else???  Sure can't be doing anything to make your stockholders happy!  There was nothing wrong with the page to start with and now nothing on it works.  And that editing page apparently for photos that is showing up in useless and completely unnecessary.  By the time we get to the listing page we have done the editing of our photos except the stupid thumbnail, which just needs sizing and placement on the page which the old tools did just fine.  Please put it back the way it was so we can work!!!

p.s. WHY do we have to come to the forum to find out what the heck is going on, and to get help? For all the money we pay them in fees, and all the hoops we have to jump through, you'd think they could at least communicate that something like this is going to happen. OR....let us know there's a glitch, and give us a timeline on when it will be fixed, instead of having to rely on other shop owners for help. I

've got an idea...how about we set up some Star Platform criteria, and they can try to achieve it each month?

I tried to go through the HELP page to leave an email about the problems, but it goes in a never ending circle just like the listing page does now.  Can't get the page up to contact a person with the problem.... just circles back to the Help questions page.

Just encountered this completely new photo editing suite today.

I've experienced everything in the previous posts, and have nothing to add, except - what a waste of my time.
