Shop was put on Forced Vacation Mode without warning on Monday like so many other sellers. It is impossible to contact Etsy and I've opened as support ticket with no response. All of my info is current and verified, and was before this happened.
I am a Star Seller with over 1000 sales, open since 2020 and over a hundred Five Star reviews. They are doing a fantastic job of pushing sellers away from the platform between the fees and being totally unreachable while they shut down your business in the middle of the busiest time of the year for sales.
So far I have seen no good explanation from anyone who's posted as to what happened and how it gets resolved, just Etsy magically decides you're done with the inane time-out after an indeterminate amount of time. It's no way to run a selling platform. Hoping for swift resolution and human contact from someone.
Shop is back today! No emails at all from Etsy.
I'm sorry. Sadly, this is becoming an "epidemic" on Etsy.

I get an "Access Denied" when I click on that link for whatever reason
@DomoTechnologies When the forums were changed earlier this year, a lot of sellers were unable to access each forum section other than Tech and Announcements. It was a glitch that had to be fixed by a forum moderator.
Since you only started posting on the forums 2 days ago, you couldn't have known about the problem. You'll either have to contact Support or @ a moderator here to resolve it.
I don't think you should put an announcement like that in your shop! People will lose confidence in you thinking you have been suspended. You could just say you are having a break.
I have a legitimate website I operate and sell my products there without issue. I want my customers to know I am reachable and where to contact me. I keep my Etsy store up because it still gets some sales and I have people who have linked to it in the past.
I'm certainly not taking a break, my page is being held hostage and is under duress.
You can do that by saying Etsy is experiencing technical difficulties, but your website is still fully operational. Or words to that effect. But I wouldn't call them out for their pitiful customer service in my shop announcement. It doesn't come across well & could even result in a shop suspension. They used to suspend shops for what they considered protests or site criticism in the shop announcements back in the day (don't know if they have recently or not). Not that it matters a lot if they're forcing you into vacation mode for God knows how long. But you do want to reopen at some point, I'm sure.
I've reworded it more diplomatically. Hope whatever bots run the website get things figured out soon.

My shop was shut down on Sunday, re-opened this morning, now closed again. What's going on? Doesn't anyone have an explanation?!
I did see one person say they got a message saying they were on forced vacation so they could catch up on their open orders. They weren't behind on anything, just had a lot to go out. Once they had everything shipped, the shop opened again. Insane....hurting a shop that is selling well?? I think Etsy's AI is going on a mindless rampage again.
This is so widespread! Many of us (myself included) are in vacation mode anyway for the holidays. What do the bots do in that case? (If your shop is targeted). They can't put your shop on vacation if it's already on vacation...
