It looks like that the Alt tags you can add in your admin is not working.

@WeddingFavorDiscount: You will have to check your specific listings to verify, but based on reports it seems that the listing form sometimes "loses" user supplied alt tags but they still appear on the images. If no user supplied alt tag, Etsy uses a default alt tag of your truncated listing title with an image number appended.

Yes, that's what I tough but it's not working. Look at:

Then check the butterfly keychain. It still shows the listing title as the Alt tag (I added the Alt tag for this item).

@WeddingFavorDiscount: On the listing itself, the first image has alt="Butterfly Key Chain Party Favors - Sweet 16 Quinceañera - Baby Shower - Bridal Shower" the second has alt="Silver Butterfly Key Chain Key Ring Wedding Bridal Sweet image 2". Etsy seems to be using the user supplied alt text selectively.

If the first image contains your alt text, you may want to read https://moz.com/learn/seo/alt-text  It has been reported that Google penalizes for keyword stuffing in alt text.

Thank you. Where do you see that? I check ALT tags by mouse over the image and it still shows the title as the Alt tag. I'm using Firefox and cleared the catch.

Okay I got it. I checked the image on the product section and there ETSY uses the title. On the product page (large picture) it shows the Alt tag I added. Thanks!
