All my listing headlines now end in 1.

As someone said I think this relates to a "test group" in which you are being involved. Test Groups 1-5. Since we had no sales today I would say test group 1., where I am apparently at, is having ads broadcast only locally again. Great. If we give them money for ads we should be broadcast everywhere ads go or at least asked if we wish to participate in these testing adventures which most of us would not wish to.

Seeing a 1. at the end of titles on a shop listings home page.
Seeing a 3. at the end on titles on the main search page, no matter what I search for.

Plus I'm seeing a 5. at the end of titles on the main search page when I select "Valentine's Day gifts" from Etsy recommended Top searches this week.

It's on the main Etsy search pages I was either seeing a 3. or a 5.

ETA: now all those #'s are gone. Seems whatever glitch it was is now fixed.

Chat support says it is "automatically placed by the system" and the number apparently "varies from time to time", whatever that means. The tech team will be made aware.

@SugarTaffySoap - in 10 years I have never seen this kind of addendum to my listings so I don't think it happens from "time to time" at least not over the past decade. What concerns me is not the addition of an irrelevant # after the heading - it is that it mucks up the title for Google search which will = fewer sales if any.

Listings when browsing categories have "5."  Maybe a placeholder (inadvertently visible) for some new future message which will vary by the location where the listing is found?  Etsy loves to load up the page with "nudges", making it as busy as possible.

@BlackSheepDyeworks - I believe the poster who said it relates to a current test group in which you have been entered is correct. If you have a 1. perhaps only locally advertised as again, today we had no sales and we have the 1. Anyone with a number other than 1. getting action today?

"1." on the listings in my shop (and others' shops);

"3." on listings returned in search; and

"5." on listings returned when browsing categories.

I was just pointing out that "5." was an additional sighting.

Yeah as soon as I posted that I went to check again and it's there now. Very odd.

1 when I view all of my listings in my shop. 

3 when I see listings in search.

4 when I see my listing that someone favored

No number when I view a listing that is in my cart.

@BuyfromGroovy  I have never been notified of being in a "test" for all of the years I've been on Etsy.  I don't know why some are notified and others are not.
