All Orders have tracking # but Star Seller Stats shows that one does not. What can I do?

I have downloaded the CSV file and see the order they say has no tracking number, but it very much does have a tracking number and you can track the status of the package.  

Why does this happen and more importantly, how can it be corrected?

Sometimes that happens when there's no production time attached to the listing - or the order was shipped late.

It's also called processing time. Not everyone ships every day, even if it's vintage and readily available. Myself, I set everything to 3-5 days, even though most items ship in 2. This covers me in case I'm too busy to ship immediately. But no matter what it is, everything needs a processing time attached to it.

@RetroVintageMonkey   It's the processing time frame.  If you ship later than your processing time frame or hit it on the cusp of the processing time passing, it may not register there is tracking.  Etsy considers it not shipped within the time frame.

If shipped before the processing time frame begins that can sometimes cause issues too.

I've run into the same issue and  production time was included and the order shipped in 1 day. How can this be corrected?

I have a few that all shipped on time, all have processing time all have tracking, Etsy just doesnt recognize the tracking sometimes, fortunately I have shipped a ton of others that did count so I'm not being dinged.  Typical of ETSY , you must do this!!! But We don't have to fix squat!

@RetroVintageMonkey @PerfectFitXAngela : This issue has been addressed in several threads on this forum. How long ago did you ship? Have the packages been scanned? Often the CSV file is often behind reality. If the shipper is supported by Etsy make sure that the shipped date, tracking number and shipping company show correctly on the actual order. Etsy relies on a third party vendor for tracking (and tracking number validation) and uses the data on the order. Often recent shipments are not correctly / timely updated. If the tracking number is correct. usually a day or two after the package has been scanned the CSV file correctly shows tracking and shipment status.

 

That being said, there have been cases in the past where orders (and the CSV file) have not been correctly updated and at least one of the Etsy people who posts in this forum has been able to get that resolved - and then the Star Seller data auto adjusts itself.

Thank you @BagmakerSupply -  I shipped yesterday via USPS and it is showing as "in transit" on the USPS site. I shipped within 24 hours of the order being placed.  The other 3 packages I also shipped yesterday (all within 24 hours of order) are showing correctly, but this one is not.

@RetroVintageMonkey: I wouldn't worry about it for a day or two. We often have the same situation where a batch of packages are scanned at the same time and all but one or two show correctly on the order and CSV file - then after a while everything is showing up correctly. There appears to be no rhyme or reason to it.

Thank you @AudreyTherese.  Sorry, you're correct about needing a PROCESSING time - mine is set to 1-2 business days.  And the other 3 packages are showing up correctly, so I do believe this is an error on Etsy's end and not mine.
